Our global SaaS Education client has a great foot in the door contract opportunity! This client seeks a full-time contractor Network Administrator. This is a fully onsite position located in Folsom, CA.
Network (Identity) Administrators are responsible for the support of the design, build and operation of Networking, Firewalls, VPN. Managing NPS, DNS, DHCP, Radius, IPV4/IPV6 Routing Policies.
Contract Duration: 7-Months
Required Skills:
Hands on design and support experience with: Cisco, Meraki ,Fortigate, Solarwinds, LogicMonitor, BGP/OSPF/EIGRP, IP Subnetting, VPLS/MPLS
Designing, implementing and supporting Remote Access VPN, VPNs and Site to Site VPNs, 802.1x
Cisco networking products (switches, routers, firewalls) including a deep understanding of routing protocols
Hands on capability for configuring routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and cable management
Strong customer facing skills
Organizational and project management experience
Excellent verbal and written communications
Cisco Certifications a plus
Extensive knowledge and strong fundamental understanding of enterprise network technologies including TCP/IP, Routing protocols (OSPF/BGP), VLANs (STP/VTP), VPNs (IPSEC) and IP addressing
5+ years of knowledge, experience, and ability troubleshooting protocols such as HSRP, OSPF, BGP, MPLS, VRF etc.

Desired Skills:
Bachelor's degree in a Computer Science or related field preferred

Daily Responsibilities
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following.

Technical review of enhancements of the current state WAN/LAN environment and sign off on any change control
Design and implementation of monitoring solutions for network
Maintain network documentation, including maintaining each account's network matrix, backup configurations and network diagrams
Application firewalls proxy and Wireless IDS Radius/TACACS
Responsible as well for all Remote Access VPN, VPNs Site to Site VPNs and WAN links
Responsible for acting on security violations, providing recommendations for adaptation of new technologies or policies, and recognizing and identifying potential areas where existing data security policies and procedures require change or new development
Perform monthly audits to make sure the organization is meeting the security policies defined by the SOC
