Position Overview:
Seeking a talented Director to provide strategic leadership, technical vision, and mentorship to a multi-disciplinary team responsible for designing, developing, delivering, and supporting our brand of products through their entire lifecycle. This role will closely collaborate with Operations and Sales teams to ensure seamless product delivery and technical expertise to internal and external customers.
This role collaborates with our Engineering and Project Management teams in France to achieve excellence in order fulfillment and project delivery across the Americas region. Develop and communicate a clear strategic vision for the Engineering, Project management and Lab departments that aligns with company goals, ensuring all employees understand and contribute to this vision.
Build and lead a high-performing team by conducting skill gap analyses and implementing action plans to develop talent through coaching, feedback sessions and training.
Lead a team of professionals, including engineers, programmer, project managers and a lab resource to ensure the highest quality and efficiency for all customer orders.
Partner with application engineering and sales team to evaluate customer proposals and develop cost-effective, innovative solutions. Ensure projects are feasible, meet customer's needs as well as GM/EBIDTA contribution targets, and align with technical capabilities.
Participate in joint sales calls to fully understand customer requirements and ensure solutions align with customer needs and expectations
Deliver clear, timely engineering solutions and manage design changes to enhance customer satisfaction and increase product margin
Ensure smooth execution of projects from planning through SAT, managing budgets, stakeholder communication, and continuously improving order fulfillment and project management processes.
Drive continuous improvement in engineering processes, focusing on innovation and development of new technologies that enhance product design and support revenue and gross profit growth targets
Utilize lean manufacturing techniques to enhance engineering and manufacturing efficiency, improving overall EBIDTA
Develop and manage Capping Center of Expertise to increase proximity with customers, prospects and packaging suppliers to win orders
Must-Have's:
3-5 years in Project Management using Smartsheet, MS Project Professional, SharePoint, etc.
Versed in SolidWorks PDM (Product Data Management) system implementations and data migrations/transfers (for automation purposes)
Prior management experience for a team of Project Managers or Engineers
Proficiency in CPI (Continuous Process Improvement)
7-10 years in electrical or mechanical engineering including the designing of change/personalized parts
Nice-to-Have's:
PMP certification
Experience in the packaging or automation industry a HUGE plus
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
