The Shop Manager is responsible for assisting in the planning and direction of the day-to-day operations of the store's shared values, standards, policies and procedure. Partners with Shop Manager to ensure overall management of the store, staff, merchandise and customer service. Assistant Shop Manager is responsible for achieving sales objectives, helping to build a highly motivated team and providing ongoing staff development and support.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Customer Service
Stresses importance of building a local clientele
Assist associates with various customer service issues
Ongoing improvement and support of all aspects related to clientling
Staff Development
Ongoing performance management to ensure goals are consistently being met
Demonstrates leadership and leads by example.
Assists in implementation and execution of the store's strategic business plans
Operations
Assist in developing store as according to brand's overall objectives
Partner with Shop Manager to carry out buying office directives to ensure proper merchandise mix and sell thru's
Maintain inventory accuracy and shrink rate within company standards by regularly following up with operations and executing applicable initiatives
Store Visuals
Enforce merchandise standards as set forth by visual department
Maintains and communicates strong product knowledge
Consistently upholds brand's image
Human Resources
Consistently partner with Shop Manager to network with market competition to assist in staffing and recruiting
Supervise store personnel and enforce all department store policies
Exhibit strong interpersonal skills in dealing with staff, peers, supervisors and NY office
Assist in developing, training, and continuously motivating sales team
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
Able to work independently as well as collaboratively
RTW and/or shoe experience is a plus; product experience in luxury or high-end retail is strongly preferred
Enjoys meeting and interacting with customers
Proficient computer skills
Energy, attention to detail, initiative, and enthusiasm are required
