Position: 3 Years Contract (Possible Extention)

Title: 24-01223 - Lead Quality Engineer

Job Description:
  • Define containment actions to apply for customer protection (including supplier Issues)
  • Do vehicle issue diagnosis and root cause analysis
  • Ensure that his team carries out the pre-analysis activities on time
  • Do risk assessments and lead corrective action plans
  • Guarantee the product - process maturity of the components of his perimeter management of serial life (windows change management).
  • Propose alternative product solution in case of issues (as shortage) to avoid to stop mass production in the plant
  • Participate in Quality ENG tech clubs.
  • Implementation of good idea and standards (Read Across)
  • Ensure the right application in the plant of the technical requirements and the meta function "me 'tiers" standards of his perimeter
  • Ensure that the skills of his team is at the right level
  • Ensure the management activities of his team (daily management control meeting)
  • Ensure that his team is working in safety
  • Lead quality KPI management to achieve quality objectives, driving improvement/corrective actions and escalation
  • Resolution of systemic/chronic or major quality issues (Top Warranty, Recalls, ...)
  • Technical support Yard Holds / Product Related Issues (PRI's) technical referent inside the PRI.
  • Set-up / On-going Controls for Process / product Standards for Vehicle & System Functional Objectives (i.e. ADAS, BSR, FEA)

Principle Activities:

1. Advancing Customer Quality
• Animate customer satisfaction/quality through supplier quality animation, Customer Feedback & Networks (Animation processing of Palantir Foundry, Supplier Ticket IT Tool (SQP/NCT/Amadeus) and Customer/Supplier obeyas
• Escalate as needed with Quality Plant ENGineering Manager and/or Manager FQM of his Quality Meta Function
• Ensure Feedback lesson learn to Team Design
• Ensure the management of sensitive processes of his perimeter (noises, geometry, sealing, etc.)

2. Ensure the landing of Serial Life Windows & evolutions/events Product including costsavings
• Evaluate & Restore Hand-Over Profession ENG milestone to anticipate drift
• Pilot points of change to implement actions necessary to secure flow
• Participate in PPAP animation and issue a verdict J4 (project/factory transfer) or J5 (serial life)
• Participate if needed in Panorama Evolution Product Process (on Master Chief Engineer request)

3. Support the plant in the safety of production on his perimeter
• Assist the team (expertise) as needed on summaries Diamond 1-3 (NC factory) and Diamond 4 (supplier NC)
• Pilot partners/Supplier for roll-back in case of proven NC
• Protect the customer by setting up a containment (Interim Solution) or a control/rework dam
• Formalize Remedies (redesign) Diamond 5-6-7
• Pilot Remedy hand-over to Life-Series Redesign Teams

4. Be the guarantor of the robustness of the plant monitoring plan
• Implement and relay the monitoring plan in the plant, which has the power to derogate from it
• Animate the performance of the different control/reworking workstations by identifying the traversal
• Make Layered Process Audit (LPA) on positions identified as sensitive in the flow
• Conducting plant maturity audits, sharing them and tracing reconvergence actions

5. Lead his team (attached to the plant) & contribute to the performance
• Build the team's workload plan, guarantee the smoothing of the workload by prioritizing and allocating tasks, manage the subjects escalated
• Ensure the efficiency of the team through structured processing (A3 MRP, 5P, etc.) of problems encountered and risks
• Coordinate & Pilote the convergence of KPi Plant Quality (DVx defect/vehicle, DRR direct run ratio, SCA Stellantis Customer Audit, PPM 3MIS)
• Skills crossmaping of his team

Position Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree (BAC+3) or higher in the fields of Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology from an accredited university (other Engineering degrees, in combination with relevant experience may be considered)
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of related experience
  • Previous experience in Engineering Department, Vehicle/mechanic Plant or Project team
  • Ability to lead an Engineering team to deliver product changes and launches on time
  • Experience with Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and corrective actions
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal from High Level Meetings down to the Shop Floor
  • Ability to work off shift hours as necessary
  • Self-motivated and directed
  • Ability to thrive in a high intensity environment while working on multiple projects
  • Rigorous and pragmatic
  • Languages: plant language & English

Preferred Requirements:
  • Masters Degree
  • Green belt
  • World Class Manufacturing Experience

Key Performance Indicators:
  • Quantitative KPIs including but not limited to:
  • Problem Resolution - Time to fix, Time to close QAN/QIF delay
  • Pre-analysis handling time (parts analysis back from the field) - Palantir-Foundry
  • Deviations to handle
  • Internal Plant Indicators (DRR, DVx, SCA, status/Repair vehicles, roll bench, wheel alignment, ADAS, ...)
  • Issues without containment action
  • Issues to escalate
  • Safety issues handling time
  • PPAP KPI (assembling test). Initial Samples verdict delay
  • New issues detected by audit
  • 3MIS Warranty (PPM)
  • Safety KPI "STOP"
  • 5S
