Their company has a strong presence across multiple sectors, including Commercial, Retail, Industrial, Medical, and Office construction. With a reputation for delivering quality projects and fostering a collaborative work environment, they are seeking a Senior Estimator to join their growing team.
Position Overview:
As a Senior Estimator, you will play a critical role in pre-construction and estimating activities, working closely with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to ensure accurate cost assessments and successful project delivery. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with proven experience in Retail and Medical ground-up construction projects. Familiarity with Procore software is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare detailed cost estimates, proposals, and bid packages for various project types, focusing on Retail and Medical ground-up builds.
Analyze drawings, specifications, and other project documents to identify project requirements.
Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing.
Collaborate with internal teams, including project managers and site superintendents, to ensure alignment and accuracy of project scope and costs.
Participate in project kickoff meetings and contribute to strategy discussions for competitive bidding.
Review project budgets and schedules for feasibility and risk assessment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (preferred but not required).
Minimum of 5-7 years of estimating experience in Commercial, Retail, or Medical construction.
Proven track record of estimating ground-up projects for clients such as Sprouts, Home Depot, or similar retail chains.
Proficiency in Procore or other construction management software.
Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
