You'll be a great fit if:
  • Process multi-state weekly W-2 and daily 1099 payrolls.
  • Act as the point of contact for any escalated payroll queries on assigned region.
  • Confirm payroll is processed timely and accurately in accordance with federal, state and local regulations.
  • Issues or reissues, physical or replacement checks, or direct deposits due to payroll errors or final discharge.
  • Process year-end tax filing such as 1099, W2 amendments as needed.
  • Control previous quarter adjustments for W2 contractors.
  • Ensure compliance with payroll-related regulations regarding wage garnishments, taxes and other deductions.
  • Understand mandate state sick policy.
  • Maintain PTO tracking.
  • Supervise payroll staff and ensure payroll staff is organized and meets deadlines.
  • Ensure the accuracy of payroll information through review, audit, and analysis of employee time sheets, payroll records and reports.
  • Ensuring service levels are met whilst maintaining strong relationships and an accurate payroll
  • Coordinate with finance department for wage and payroll reconciliation.
  • Able to understand benefits such as deductions and refund in collaboration with benefits team.
  • Proactive, analytical/problem-solving skills.
  • Answer questions and provide customer service to internal and external customers regarding payroll matters.

To be considered you need:
  • Minimum 5 years of payroll experience.
  • Experience working as an efficient and comprehensive Payroll Team Leader
  • Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel)
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now (preferred)
  • Experience in Oil and Gas (preferred)
  • Must be able to work independently
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be able to work in a high volume, high demand, and fast paced environment.
  • Must be able to work as a team.
