Create and maintain item routings, BOM's and processes in Powerlink ERP.
Create and maintain 3D CAD models (parts & assemblies) and CAD drawings utilizing SolidWorks.
Implement process improvement requests from production utilizing markups, time studies, capability studies and/or order history.
Assist with creating and updating process work instructions.
Work closely with the engineering and operations teams to implement design improvements as needed on new and existing designs to improve manufacturability, including fixture / tooling design when needed.
Develop and maintain inspection documents for new and existing products to ensure proper verification of specifications.
Assist in resolving quality issues (scrap / rework / RGA's).
Help create and maintain documentation as needed to support sourcing of materials, tooling, inspection gauges and outside processes.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Follow all safety rules (OSHA and Company Polices).
Perform other duties as assigned.
Equipment used:
Computer, calculator, inspection and measuring equipment.
Required Skills:
2-year technical degree or equivalent combination of education and technical experience required.
2+ years in Engineering and/or Quality technical roles in a manufacturing company.
Knowledge and Skills:
Strong mechanical aptitude
Good 3D modeling and drawing skills
2+ years' experience with good understanding of ANSI Y14.5 and GD&T desired
2+ years' experience with 3D CAD required, SolidWorks preferred
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint & Outlook
2+ years' experience with business ERP/MRP systems, Infor XA Power-Link a plus
Experience with machining processes desired
Experience with metals and heat-treating processes a plus
