We are seeking a Senior Hydro Marine Engineer with experience in the oil & gas industry to join our dynamic team in Houston.
This is a direct-hire opportunity for a professional with a background in mechanical, structural, or naval architecture engineering. The successful candidate will thrive in a collaborative environment, be open to learning new techniques and software, and possess strong communication skills to coordinate with international teams.
Some of the tasks and responsibilities to be performed by the Senior Hydro Marine Engineer are:
Conduct engineering analysis and design for offshore projects, with a focus on hydrodynamics, wave and fatigue analysis, and structural component assessments;
Collaborate on projects related to subsea equipment, risers, umbilicals, and other offshore systems;
Perform stress and dynamic analysis, using tools such as OrcaFlex, ANSYS, and more;
Engage in regular communication with global teams, particularly counterparts in Australia, ensuring effective project execution;
Support ongoing development of engineering tools and methodologies to optimize project outcomes;
Participate in project reviews, technical problem-solving, and contribute to innovative engineering solutions.
The ideal candidate will meet with the following requirements:
Degree in Mechanical, Structural Engineering, or Naval Architecture (preferred);
Experience in the oil & gas industry;
Strong analytical skills and proficiency in hydrodynamic analysis, stress analysis, and structural component design;
Ability to learn and apply new engineering software and techniques;
Effective communication skills for coordinating with international teams;
Proficiency with tools such as OrcaFlex, ANSYS, or similar engineering software is advantageous.
