Vaco is conducting a search for a growing organization in the Greater Irvine area, seeking an IT & ERP Systems Director with a strong balance of hands-on technical expertise and leadership skills. This is an ideal opportunity for a senior manager ready to step into a director-level role. You'll oversee the company's ERP system and IT infrastructure while remaining directly involved in delivering technical solutions.
Position Overview:
The IT & ERP Systems Director will lead the company's ERP and IT operations with a small, hands-on team. You'll work closely with the Accounting department and other business units, gathering requirements and delivering ERP solutions, with a focus on integrations (ETL, API), reporting, and system configuration. This is a hands-on role, and we're looking for someone eager to stay directly involved in the technical aspects while also providing strategic direction.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the ERP system, ensuring smooth operations and addressing business needs, particularly in accounting.
Provide hands-on technical solutions, including configuration, reporting, SQL, and integrations (ETL/API).
Lead small-scale projects and collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver tailored ERP solutions.
Mentor a small IT team, offering hands-on support and strategic guidance.
Manage vendor relationships and external service providers.
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards (SOX or similar).
Candidate Profile:
Bachelor's degree required.
10+ years of experience in IT and ERP systems, with a focus on providing hands-on technical solutions.
Strong experience with SQL, reporting, ETL/API integrations, and ERP system management.
Knowledge of accounting processes and the ability to collaborate with accounting teams to deliver ERP solutions.
Comfortable leading small IT projects while remaining involved in day-to-day technical work.
Compliance experience (SOX or similar standards like ISO, PCI, HIPAA) preferred.
