Conduct scheduled and unscheduled inspections, maintenance, and repairs of solar PV systems, ensuring compliance with OEM requirements and warranties.
Identify issues and develop corrective action plans.
Perform various testing activities, including open circuit voltage, I-V curves, DC current, power meter verification, resistance, thermography, and megger testing.
Travel to project sites for on-site installation, repair, maintenance, oversight, and modifications.
Conduct Quality Control inspections on assigned construction projects.
Audit third-party systems for potential O&M service contract sales.
Oversee and coordinate contractors' work on installations, troubleshooting, and repairs.
Record and report faults, deficiencies, and unusual occurrences, including time and materials used on work orders. Handle all repairs, maintenance, and warranty claims, developing forms if necessary.
Prepare reports and communicate maintenance and troubleshooting results to customers.
Complete required training and qualifications within specified time frames, meeting or exceeding test score requirements.
Lead or assist in developing and revising processes and procedures.
Familiarize yourself with the requirements of each assigned O&M contract.
Qualifications:
3-5+ years of PV/Solar experience
Strong troubleshooting experience
Electrical background
High school graduate or GED
Valid driver's license
OSHA certifications preferred
