Our client is seeking a BUSA Risk Appetite Analyst in New York City
in Atlanta, GA.


Role Description


This role will focus on enhancing the risk appetite framework and stress testing processes for Bank USA. The ideal candidate will possess experience in risk appetite or stress testing, along with a solid understanding of U.S. regulatory frameworks (FRB/OCC). We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our CUSO Portfolio Analysis and Risk Appetite team.


Key Responsibilities:
• Support the development and refinement of risk appetite statements and frameworks for Bank USA, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and expectations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate risk appetite considerations into stress testing results.
• Assess existing stress testing capabilities for Bank USA while supporting the workstream to align them with the IHC.
• Act as a subject matter expert on risk appetite for Bank USA, providing insights and guidance.
• Evaluate existing stress testing metrics utilized across the bank and rationalize their application in establishing risk appetite for Bank USA.
• Work closely with front office, risk, and senior management to review and challenge the risk appetite framework, ensuring appropriate governance is maintained.
• Report on ongoing progress and timelines for the delivery of key milestones within the risk appetite workstream.
• Build and review requirement documentation and create internal controls related to risk appetite statements, limits, and monitoring.


Skills & Requirements


Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field; equivalent work experience will also be considered.
• 3-5+ years of experience in risk management, quantitative analysis, or related roles within the financial services sector.
• Familiarity with FRB/OCC regulatory frameworks concerning stress testing and risk appetite.
• Self-motivated and collaborative, with the ability to drive change effectively.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to communicate complex risk concepts clearly and effectively to a range of stakeholders, including senior management.
