The Assistant Janitorial Manager is the single point of contact for customer site stakeholders and holds overall responsibility for the janitorial program in one specific location. They are responsible for managing and training their team as well as inspecting the building regularly to ensure customer expectations are met or exceeded. Job Description
Responsibilities:
Performs customer service duties and handle all client requests or complaints in a timely manner. Follow up to ensure satisfaction
Supervises, trains, motivates, and develops team members
Works with the HR department to ensure all jobs are properly staffed and trained
Arranges for coverage in the event of an employee absence
Oversees disciplinary action and/ or termination of employees when necessary
Performs regular inspections of building to ensure that specifications are being met
Corrects deficiencies in building whenever necessary
Maintains budgetary compliance at all accounts, specifically with labor hours/ supplies / equipment
Oversees scheduling and payroll for all employees working in your account
Ensures scheduling of special project work when requested or needed
Ensures that all janitorial equipment is in good working condition and well maintained.
Tracks and maintains supply inventory
Ensures building safety and security for employees
REQUIREMENTS (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Education and/or Experience):
Minimum (5+) years of progressive Management/Operations experience, preferably within an industrial or commercial environment.
Ability to partner with all levels of employees and build relationships.
Strong employee relations, conflict resolution and management skills.
Stand-up presentation skills. Ability to prepare comprehensive reports and represent ideas clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
Proficient computer skills - Microsoft Office.
A bility to multi - task and excel in a fast - paced and dynamic work environment.
Must have the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions in a manner consistent with the essential functions of the job.
