Job Description

The Sourcing Specialist will report to the Strategic Sourcing Manager. The main responsibility of this role is the supporting of strategic sourcing initiatives being driven by the Commodity Managers. This individual is responsible for supporting activities with suppliers that are driving INFICON standards in Quality, Cost, and Delivery. This Sourcing Specialist will assist in all supplier communications, identify areas for cost savings, and negotiate with vendors.

The ideal individual is proactive, results oriented and strives for continuous improvement, and has a keen interest in strategic thinking. Ideal candidate should able to multi-task, meet ambitious targets and goals, and facilitate execution towards fast results.  You will support internal stakeholders to ensure timely completion of all key operational initiatives.



Qualifications

Job Purpose

Essential Job Duties

Sourcing Specialist specific duties include, but are not necessarily limited to:

Supplier Management and Development:

  • Interact daily with cross functional resources including Engineering, Quality, Planning, Supply Chain and Production to ensure all production requirements are met
  • Assist in the completion of Master Supplier Agreements
  • Own all department KPI reporting
  • Support the Commodity Managers in quoting and business award projects
  • Assemble quote packages and initiate RFQs with suppliers
  • Receive, perform initial review of supplier quotes, and provide feedback to suppliers
  • Schedule and host supplier technical meetings
  • Host supplier pre-FAI launch meetings
  • Schedule and prepare Supplier Business Reviews
  • Travel and assist with supplier audits as needed

Education and/or Experience 

  • Bachelors degree plus a minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience in sourcing, supplier management, supply chain. 
  • Working knowledge of SAP ERP system
  • Knowledge of ISO9001 and/or 14001 in a lean manufacturing environment

Additional Information

For New York, the expected salary range for this position is between $65,000 and $75,000 per year. In addition, INFICON employees are eligible for a profit sharing bonus with a target of 10%.  The actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law
