Position Overview: As an Applications Engineer at Pieper Automation, you will assist Project Managers in executing and managing projects. This role involves project planning, bid and specification analysis, hardware selection, proposal assistance, cost tracking, and coordination between teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning
Collaborate with Project Managers to develop detailed project plans, including budgets, timelines, resource requirements, Bills of Materials (BOMs), test forms, and other project documentation.
Bid and Specification Analysis
Review bid and specification plans, perform takeoffs, and prepare cost estimates.
Develop comprehensive plans and estimates for open-specification proposals.
Hardware and Instrumentation
Select appropriate hardware and instrumentation to meet project requirements.
Proposal Assistance
Assist in drafting and refining customer proposal letters.
Cost and Performance Tracking
Work with Project Managers to track and manage project costs and performance metrics.
Facilitate smooth coordination between engineering and production teams to ensure effective project execution.
Address and resolve any questions or issues from production or engineering teams.
Collaboration and Communication
Interface and communicate effectively with various stakeholders including engineers, project managers, electricians, vendors, customers, and company leadership.
Customer Relationships
Ensure customer satisfaction through successful project execution and effective communication.
Build and maintain relationships to foster repeat business and growth.
