POSITION PURPOSE

The Total Rewards Analyst works collaboratively with the Total Rewards team, HR business partners, and various external vendors to support: the implementation of new programs and systems, process standardization, auditing, analysis, communications, compliance, and ongoing administration, as needed. The Analyst will research, assess, interpret, and manage corporate benefits programs and 401k; provide timely and accurate administration for all benefit plans and the 401k plan to ensure program compliance; be the principal point of contact for benefits and 401k communication and research. The Analyst will also support compensation related needs and projects.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Employee shall perform all duties and responsibilities with Sunland's Core Values at the forefront.
  • Must be an advocate of safety and follow safety policies and procedures.
  • Gather feedback from employees, leaders, and HR partners to understand employee needs and company priorities related to Total Rewards to help set Sunland's strategy.
  • Research market trends and industry benchmarks to ensure Sunland's total rewards package is competitive and supports talent attraction and retention.
  • Participate in the annual benefits renewal process, evaluating brokers, vendors, carriers, and plan design.
  • Facilitate the benefits related portion of new employee orientation on a weekly basis.
  • Support the TRC Manager with open enrollment - including planning and preparation, coordination with site leaders, communication strategies, meeting facilitation, and employee enrollment.
  • Assist with developing and administering year-round TRC communications which effectively educate employees on their benefit and compensation offering.
  • Help manage vendors (broker, benefit sys admin, health and 401k providers, COBRA admin, leave management vendors, life carriers, etc.) to ensure quality service to employees and the company, while minimizing costs.
  • Effectively respond to HR, leader, and employee inquiries related to benefits, 401k, compensation, and leave related questions.
  • Assist with maintaining accurate employee records and data.
  • Own the administration of all leave programs (STD, LTD, FMLA, ADA, PWFA, Military, etc.) in partnership with vendors; ensure leaders, employees, HR, and payroll are clear on all related elements and that leave programs maintain compliance with federal and state laws.
  • Assist HR with all M&A and integration related initiatives.
  • Participate in compensation projects - market studies, position reviews, annual increase administration, promotional increases, etc.
  • Conduct quarterly audits of benefit invoicing to ensure accurate billing.
  • Participate in the annual 5500 filing for health and 401k plans and support the annual 401k audit.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and make recommendations for changes to ensure compliance.
  • Collaborate with other HR team members, participate in weekly TRC team meetings and 1 on 1s, and monthly HR team meetings.

SAFETY


  • This is considered a non-safety-sensitive position but is subject to the company's drug and alcohol policy, as well as all OHSA regulations.
  • All employees must wear the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when required.
  • Serves as a safety ambassador by complying with federal, state, and local laws, as well as Company safety policy, enforces safe work practices, and proactively identifies and remedies worksite hazards.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT


  • 5 days/week in office.
  • This position operates in a professional office environment that routinely uses standard office equipment requiring the ability to communicate in person and over the telephone with other employees, the ability to interpret printed materials and a computer screen, the stamina to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions, the ability to lift and carry supplies and files weighing up to 10 pounds and to move about the inside of the office to access supplies, office machinery, etc.
  • Employee may be exposed to various chemicals, vapors, pollutants, virus or other air-borne pathogens, gases, uneven surfaces, loud noises, moving vehicles or machines and dust/debris.

POSITION TYPE/ EXPECTED HOURS


  • This is a full-time position.
  • Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

TRAVEL


  • 10% travel required to support multi-state operations for open enrollment, employee education, M&A activity, and professional development.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Work Experience


  • 5+ years of benefits, employee perk programs, or other directly related experience preferred.
  • Bilingual: Spanish fluency preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience with market research, and data analysis.
  • Knowledge of group health and welfare and retirement programs.
  • Must be knowledgeable on all benefit and 401k related laws and regulations.
  • Requires excellent written and oral communications skills, and effective organizational, presentation, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Excellent analytical skills including proficiency with MS Office Suite, advanced spreadsheet capabilities in Excel (Pivot-Tables, VLookUps, etc.) required.
  • Leadership and teamwork skills with a sense of urgency.
  • Ability and willingness to support and assist with all compensation and HR compliance related activities.
  • Process improvement oriented and the ability to make recommendations and decisions.
  • Demonstrated project management experience.
  • Flexible and proactive problem solver; adept at achieving results in a team-oriented and collaborative environment, but also able to function effectively working independently.
  • Is a self-starter, takes initiative and ownership, demonstrates professionalism and maturity to handle sensitive/confidential information and make sound decisions.
  • Strong internal and external customer focus and demonstrated ability to build strong working relationships.
  • Demonstrated success in a dynamic, frequently changing, and fast paced environment.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES & REGISTRATIONS


  • A valid driver's license required, and a clean motor-vehicle record preferred.
  • Passing a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening and background check is required.
