Responsibilities

Hexagon's Asset Lifecycle Intelligence division (Hexagon) is seeking a Technical Manager to join our team. This position requires individuals to manage teams of employees responsible for the setup and installation of technical systems, applications, or process designs for a client’s purchased or outsourced technology and business process solutions, specifically EcoSys (Enterprise Project Performance) software. The ideal candidate is someone who would be interested in continuously learning and developing as a member of our team as well as sharing their skills and knowledge with new colleagues. Focus for this position will center on building out our staff augmentation services offering, driving expansion of services capabilities across EcoSys, Jovix, and Smart Materials and streamlining the Operations process, enhancing the delivery of services and ultimately contributing to higher revenues for the business. This position will also coordinate onboarding / training for new hires including content creation and oversight, support Domain document requests for EcoSys, and support in billable utilization role as needed.

  • Develops and implements policies and practices for client installation, including access management, data mapping and transfer, process documentation, testing and troubleshooting, and client training.
  • Interfaces with consulting, sales, and project management teams to develop strategy and resource plans to anticipate demand for implementation services and workforce needs.
  • Accountable for content associated with scopes of work (SOWs) and (RFXs) for implementations.
  • Provides client insight and feedback to product development and professional services teams for product and services improvement.
  • Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the services function.
  • Responsible for a group of consultants associated with a group of products or services.
  • Responsible for team performance related to organizational Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) including utilization, business contribution and professional development.
  • Ensures positive outcomes based on resourcing projects, active collaboration with sales, understanding value propositions, being conversant in business and technical aspects of the solution, supporting presales, estimating services engagements, customer satisfaction, and career development of direct employees.
  • Ensures the technical team follows the Smart Services Methodology (SSM) contributes to ensuring project artifacts, templates, and documentation is up to date, accurate, and effective
  • Responsible for functional and technical onboarding for new hires, including upkeep of training plans, materials, and completion.
  • Ensures employee reviews are consistently and effectively held for the technical team, and adequate training is available.
  • Maintains a great working environment and culture for the business unit with special attention to the needs of remote employees.
  • Supports Services strategic Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) as assigned.
  • Models and supports Hexagon's Asset Lifecycle Intelligence division's values: Trust, Fearlessness, Accountability, Transparency, and Urgency.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education / Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum 2 years of related experience, preferably in the oil, chemicals, power, or similar process industries
  • Minimum 3 years consulting experience
  • Experience with managing direct reports with exceptional coaching and mentoring skills
  • Experience working with software/solution provider company
  • Understanding Implementation Methodologies (Waterfall, Iterative, Agile, Incremental)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio
  • Strong communication, presentation skills and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to interface effectively with employees and customers of all levels
  • Participating in customer negotiations and strategy for sales opportunities
  • Adept at identifying and implementing process improvements
  • Highly organized with ability to multi-task
  • A quick learner that pays attention to details
  • Positive attitude, interest in and openness to learn new skills
  • Ability to travel periodically, currently anticipated at 5%

Preferred

  • Estimating services engagements for EcoSys and/or Smart Materials
  • Experience managing a professional services organization/department and understands the challenges associated with managing a remote workforce.
  • Ability to manage people, across a distributed geography.
  • Discrete when handling sensitive and confidential information.
  • Highly organized, able to work across several projects and initiatives and able to effectively prioritize work.
  • High effective at problem solving and providing effective and creative solutions to address the problem.
