Job Description:

SUMMARY

The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health (DPH) Division of Maternal, Child, and Adolescent Health (MCAH) is seeking a Management Analyst for the Perinatal Innovation Unit (PIU). This position will report to the PIU Health Program Analyst II/III and will assist with ensuring the quality and accuracy of enrollment, data collection, and payment processes for the African American Infant Maternal Mortality Prevention Initiative (AAIMM) Doula Program and pilot doula programs.

This is a full time, benefitted position. Employment is provided by Heluna Health. 

The pay rate for this position is $34.63

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS


  • Lead client enrollment, including prospective client calls, doula matching, and intake tracking. 

  • Track client insurance status, assure proper documentation for Medi-Cal reimbursement, and identify billing challenges. 

  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of doula activity logs, doula invoices, and client data forms. 

  • Complete client level data entry for core AAIMM Doula Program and extension alongside team of analysts. 

  • Coordinate the provision of incentives to clients and other procurement processes.

  • Attend all required Perinatal Innovation Unit team meetings and trainings.

NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS


  • Attend optional staff trainings and events.

  • Other duties as assigned.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS


  • Working knowledge of racial equity and perinatal health, including the social determinants of health.

  • Two years of experience performing basic to routine analytical assignments that involved researching, analyzing, and synthesizing data, as well as recommending solutions to problems related to administrative or program support functional areas.

  • Excellent phone etiquette and professionalism, and comfort speaking to community members, pregnant persons and families.

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Access and Excel for case management and data

  • Familiarity with doula scope of work and Medi-Cal billing a plus.

 

Education/Experience


  • Bachelors degree required; Masters in Public Health preferred

Certificates/Licenses/Clearances


  • A valid California Class C driver’s license, proof of vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation or the ability to utilize an alternative method of transportation when needed to carry out job-related essential functions.

  • Successful clearance of LA County Live Scan required.
