General Purpose

Therapy QA Regional Director-PACS is responsible for the oversight of multiple facility rehabilitation programs located in different states, both in-house and contract therapy providers, and mentoring of Directors of Rehabilitation. This includes but is not limited to: training of new Directors of Rehabilitation, providing
recommendations to rehab programs on efficiencies and profitability with strict adherence to Medicare guidelines, and auditing to ensure adherence to Providence Group Best Practices. The Therapy QA Regional Director is responsible for implementation of new programs and procedures from regulatory changes and will interface with other regional level nursing and administrative professionals.

Job Essentials


  • Facility Visits as needed to support operations and program management

  • Mentoring Director of Rehabilitation and staff as necessary for appropriate patient utilization and treatment options

  • Review of EMR and Point Right to ensure strict compliance with Medicare guidelines

  • Attend CSR and triple check

  • Assist with mock survey and state survey when needed

  • Support administrators in achieving results

  • Audit completion as requested by QA and Compliance Audit Director

  • Reinforce Best Practices and Standardized Testing

  • Interface with other regional personnel to promote standardization across region

  • Identifying opportunities within facilities for new programs (therapy wound care)

  • Support facility with probes, CERTs, ADR's, and ALJ's

  • Reports to QA and Compliance Audit Director any concerns with compliance or lack of adherence to company best practices

  • Provide clinical instruction to therapy staff

  • Supports administrator with evaluation of DOR when requested

  • Assist with conversion of contract programs to in-house programs

  • Assist with RNA training

  • Provides recommendations to supervisor for opportunities to improve company

  • Must be able to travel by car and/or plane when necessary to reach assigned destination in a reasonable time frame

  • Must maintain confidentiality of company and patient information

  • Identifies new source of business and contacts

  • Promotes positive attitude to coworkers and to company regarding the company, its mission statement, philosophies, and goals

  • Hold therapists/director accountable with PIP's and POC's when necessary

  • Inspire others to elevate their level of commitment

  • Complete ongoing education with follow up in-service to appropriate audience on new material

  • Consults for Administrators regarding therapy program


Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy and /or
Speech Language Pathology. Prefer graduates of Masters or Doctorate
Program in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy and /or Speech
Language Pathology. Proficient in computer skills such as inputting
data into programs such as Casamba and Point Click Care. Prefer
prior regional experience and interaction with QS, AR, HR, and legal
leads. Prefer RAC-CT Credential.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Licensed as a Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist and or
Speech Language Therapist in the state. Employee must meet continue
education requirements per state practices. Must maintain a license in
good standing at all time with the state board. CPR certification.
