Job Description:

Summary

The Executive Director has operational responsibility for all aspects of Diagnostic Imaging, Biomedical Engineering and related support services throughout the Froedtert Health System. The Executive Director must collaborate with Froedtert Health executive leaders and all entity leadership teams, to ensure delivery of effective, efficient and patient centered services in accordance with the Froedtert Health objectives, policies and procedures. Other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures effective and efficient Imaging Services and Biomedical Engineering by directing and planning operations for all sections of Imaging Services and Biomedical Engineering to meet system and entity objectives.
  • Leads the strategic planning process to develop system-wide Imaging Services and Biomedical Engineering strategies and goals, with emphasis on coordination with system and entity program needs customer needs.
  • Identifies programs and resources necessary to coordinate best use of Imaging technologies and Imaging information systems to ensure quality outcomes and a cost-effective technology plan for the health system.
  • Oversees the management of Biomedical Engineering's Computer Maintenance Management Software (Database) from a system level, assuring individual needs of the facilities are being met.
  • Maintains Imaging Services standards of practice based on accepted professional standards and entity policies and procedures.
  • Monitors compliance with JC, CMS, ACR, UHC and other applicable local and national agencies.
  • Acts as a liaison and resource for the entity leaders and medical staff ensuring effective communication, coordination and collaboration with all system groups.
  • Interviews and selects entity Directors in coordination with Human Resources.
  • Ensures orientation, training and development needs of the entire Imaging leadership team are met.
  • Ensures quality of the Imaging Services and Biomedical Engineering workforce with qualified, engaged and competent staff in all Imaging Services and Biomedical Engineering positions.
  • Ensures high level of staff satisfaction, with an emphasis on constructive supervision, commitment to communication, inclusion in organizational activities and a sense of pride in being a part of the organization.
  • Develops and manages short- and long-term capital and operating budgets to perform within financial objectives; demonstrates good stewardship in the use of all financial, and supporting resources.
  • Ensures departmental compliance with all Froedtert policy and the relevant external agencies, including the NRC, TJC, ACR and billing documentation requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree preferred in related field of business, health care profession or health care administration.
  • Experience: Five to ten years demonstrated experience including supervision & management is required.
  • Training Preferred: Radiology, Imaging or Biomedical Engineering training is preferred.
