Your Role: Assistant Quality Control

The Quality Laboratory Technician performs accurate, precise, and timely testing of laboratory samples in accordance with approved methods.  Expertise in lab operations, aseptic technique, attention-to-detail and thoroughness are critical components. The Lab Technician will participate in laboratory investigations, analytical analysis, equipment qualification, and maintenance by executing well- defined protocols and procedures. Active in identifying, communicating, and participating in opportunities for improvement to lab operations.  Additionally the QC/QA Specialist with assist with and/or own compliance to Quality standards, these include but are not limited to, batch review, stability coordinator, printing tickets, release of raw materials.

Your Responsibilities:  

SAFETY

▪    Be a safety role-model, wearing proper PPE and supporting all safety and environmental policies/procedures.

▪   Provide peer-to-peer feedback, where appropriate.

SAMPLE ANALYSIS AND REPORTING

▪    Accurate, precise, and timely execution of analytical methods and related support activities as per procedures/protocols. Adherence to structured work flow to maximize productivity is expected.

▪    Performs data entry and verification reviews with utmost diligence and attention-to-detail in accordance with procedures.

▪   Assists cross-functionally to record data entry and report results.

▪   Recognizes suspect analytical results and deviations from procedures, initiating an Event notice.

ROUTINE LAB ACTIVITIES

•   Performs routine equipment qualifications/calibrations or maintenance through execution of well- defined protocols.

•   Participates in laboratory investigations and runs lab models as required.

•   Completes variety of testing, including hand and robot assays, for outside vendors and sites.

•   Fills sample requests for internal and external customers.

LAB OPERATIONS

▪   Training and mentoring of others in the lab.

▪   Executes notification to management when required by procedure or standards.

QUALITY ASSURANCE

▪   Tickets – printing, reviewing

▪   Stability coordinator

▪   Release of raw materials

▪   Assisting with and/or owning deviations and change controls

CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT INTIATIVES

▪    Identifies opportunities for improvement initiatives in daily work activities. Owns and drives the identified improvement until project completion.

▪   Technical resource to troubleshoot equipment, methods, and processes as required.

▪   Participates in improvement activities and self-inspections.

What You Need to Succeed (minimum qualifications): 

• Education: High School Diploma/GED. Bachelor's Degree preferred.

• Experience: A minimum of 1 year in a lab or manufacturing environment.
