Position Description

Kinder Morgan CO2 Company is currently seeking a Plant Operator with a hiring range from a level 1 to a level 2 dependent on experience and skill set for SACROC's GP178/176 facilities.

The successful candidate will serve a vital role in maintaining the safe and efficient operation of the plant facilities. The GP178/176 facilities employ a multitude of processes which includes compressors, gas dehydration facilities, NGL Recovery facilities, and CO2 membranes. The Gas Processing Facilities are PSM Facilities.

DUTIES:
• Operation of plant compression and CO2 gas treating equipment to maintain designated operating conditions
• Surveillance of plant processes on PLC or SCADA (The successful canidate will train to work the control boards, not his/her primary duties, in the case of needed assistance)
• Troubleshooting of process equipment and plant operations
• Shutdown and startup of plant equipment (compressors, pumps, cooling equipment, generators, etc.)
• Daily plant rounds and monitoring of equipment to identify operational problems not indicated through PLC or SCADA alarm systems
• Manually operate valves as operations dictate
• Lockout tagout and permitting duties for maintenance work
• Interact with contract personnel
• Identify, report, and correct safety and environmental concerns
• Complete appropriate documentation and paperwork
• Provide oral and written communication of activities to appropriate personnel
• Write Maintenance Work Orders as needed
• Operate company vehicles during daily activities

Position Requirements

Valid drivers license

Must be able to work with a team, take direction from supervisors and senior operators, keep required work schedules, focus on attention to detail, and follow work rules.

PREFERRED SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE
Experience in oil and gas operations
Background in gas processing
Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

EDUCATION REQUIRED
High School Diploma or equivalent

WORKING CONDITIONS
• Must live in or be willing to relocate to the immediate Snyder area
• Work 12 hr rotating shift schedules
• Be available and be able to respond within 30 minutes for call-out and overtime
• Requires working on holidays when a holiday falls on a scheduled work day
• Tasks are performed indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions in daylight & darkness
• May be required to stand, walk, sit, ascend/descend stairs or ladders, use hand tools, reach with hands and arms
• Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
• Plant vessels and piping systems contain H2S and hydrocarbon gases
