About the Position

We are seeking an experienced and successful Sr. Project Manager to work with the Design Build team on a major infrastructure project. This is a long term (2+ years), full-time, on-site position located in Newark, NJ.

Responsibilities

  • Management, review, and oversight of the design for the structure, civil, and roadway designs to ensure compliance with the Contract Documents.
  • Provide support and oversight of construction and associated work.
  • Work directly with the Program Integration Team to ensure the design and construction is in accordance with the interface requirements provided by System Technology.
  • Work with the Assistant Project Managers, Project Managers, authorities, and other Project Subject Matter Expert (SME) staff to review, coordinate, and oversee the design work.
  • Develop an understanding of the contractual (technical/commercial) requirements of the Design-Build contract and review various submittals in accordance with the contract requirements.
  • Distribute and review various designs and consolidate review comments from the Project Team and others to ensure consistency and compliance with the Design-Build contract.
  • Support the Construction Management Division (CMD) in supporting the construction phase ensuring interfaces and contract requirements are understood and implemented.
  • Support the Project Controls group with the administration of the contract, the development of changes (if applicable), and response to contractor claims/disputes.
  • Support the Project Team in testing and commissioning of the structure and other fixed facilities.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education/experience.
  • 10+ years of experience with the design and construction of rail or roadway bridge structures.
  • Professional Engineering License (NJ preferred).
  • Experience in Design-Build contracts in design, construction, or implementation.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in civil engineering or construction management.
  • 15+ years of experience with the design and construction of rail or roadway bridge structures.
  • Experience overseeing design-build contracts for the Owner.

Compensation Details

The salary range listed for this role is $166k-$312k annually ($80-150/hr.) The final salary offered is based on multiple factors and is thoughtfully aligned with each candidates level of experience, breadth of skills, total education achieved, certifications/licenses that have been obtained, etc.
