Job Description:

POSITION SUMMARY

The Production Supervisor will oversee and manage production shift employees and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and quantity standards. The Production Supervisor ensures strict adherence to design specifications, quality production standards (specifically ISO 9001 compliance) and customer requirements during the production process.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

· Train and manage production employees on the assigned shift ensuring workforce has the skill set needed to meet production goals, maintains quality, and adheres to company procedures, safety standards, and customer requirements

· Monitor and measure employee training and effectiveness. Take corrective action as needed to ensure training effectiveness

· Oversee the daily workflow and assignment of the production shift ensuring production processes, quality targets, and production goals are met

· Manage and ensure production meets ISO 9001 quality standards

· Provide constructive and participate in timely performance evaluations for production staff ensuring development and ongoing mentoring of staff

· Monitor, measure, and report on production related process performance and general issues

· Ensure effective communication is provided, either verbally or written, to all levels of employees in the organization

· Assist and participate in identifying root causes of problems and taking fast, effective action to resolve the any problems that arise

· Escalate issues, as necessary, for knowledge or approval to ensure appropriate staff are involved in decision making when required

· Partner with other Shift Supervisors to ensure production handovers are effective and efficient.

· Maintain an active role and participate in the company’s continuous improvement activities and program

· Ensure housekeeping standards are maintained to ensure a clean and safe workplace.

· Manage company resources effectively to best practices are maintained, and company costs are properly managed

· Maintain a high level of integrity and attention to detail in recordkeeping activities to ensure accuracy, i.e. timekeeping and production reporting

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

· High school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of three years relevant job experience in a high-volume CNC metal machining environment

· Proficiency and familiarity with 4 and 5 axis machining of complex metal parts

· Thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn RSI production operations and machinery

· Ability to support the RSI culture of teamwork and commitment to quality

· Experience with ISO 9001 needed

· Excellent supervisory and leadership skills

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

· Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

· Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate

· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software to complete reports and logs

· Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen

· Ability to pass a background check

This position may require travel up to 5% of the time
