What we need:
Mohawk is looking for a Dye Line Operator in the Dalton, Ga area. In this role, you will be operating dye lines.
What you'll do:
- Identify Tank Runs
- Identify & verify filters are clean and clean as needed
- Monitor PLCs, computer screens & all set points
- Adjust Dye Line speeds as needed
- Monitor J boxes have enough product to run continuously
- Watch carpet for defects that might cause problems printing.
- Keeping an eye on Dyeing schedule for change over, etc.
- Attend any job-related training deemed necessary by supervision
- Follow all established standard operating procedures
- Perform general housekeeping duties as necessary
- Perform other tasks assigned by management
What you have:
- Three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- High school graduate or GED equivalency preferred.
- Prior experience working in a Dyeing department required, and/or equivalent combination of on the job training and work experience.
- Reads and writes in standard English and proficient performing basic math calculations such as addition and subtraction.
- Successful completion of all required health and environmental safety training.
- May be required to use PC and other department specific database systems.

- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
- Ability to deal with problems involving variables in standardized situations.
What else?
- Frequently required to reach, handle, stand, walk, sit and stoop.
- Occasionally required to kneel.
- Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds frequently throughout an 8-, 10-, or 12-hour shift.
- Must be able to work 8, 10 and or 12-hour shifts either day or night, weekdays or weekends as scheduled.
