Job Summary:

We are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to join the Product Finance team, supporting our ONTAP offerings within the Hybrid Cloud Business Unit. This individual will develop the financial models behind New Product Introductions and price changes for existing products. It is a highly visible role which supports senior management in the decision-making process along with their operational staff. This is a hybrid role to be based out of San Jose, California or Research Triangle Park, North Carolina. Also open to remote West Coast.

Job Responsibilities:

This role has responsibility for a wide range of financial support and analysis tasks. It includes but is not limited to:


  • Own the New Product Introduction (NPI) and Pricing Reviews for the ONTAP offerings, partnering with Product Management, Pricing, Procurement, and Program Management. Provide in-depth margin and Return on Investment (ROI) analysis

  • Lead the quarterly product financial performance reviews and compare Key Performance Metrics (Volume, Average Selling Price, Average Capacity, Product Margin) with original assumptions to drive business accountability

  • Assist with management reporting -analyzing financial results, distilling/synthesizing key trends and helping build presentations with key business insights for senior leadership

  • Other ad-hoc projects or activities to provide FP&A support

  • Assist in analyzing and developing biz review packages to help report out current quarter financials to the Product Leadership Team

Job Requirements:


  • 8+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis or related field

  • Strong financial/analytical skills with proven capabilities in developing complex financial models, and a track record of driving process improvements

  • Experience in business partnering and presenting to an executive audience. Prior experience with product launches a plus

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills including PowerPoint, Word, and modeling in Excel

  • Systems experience including Oracle, Hyperion, Power BI, and business analytics a plus

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to function well in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with competing priorities

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a business-related discipline (or equivalent experience).

Compensation
The base salary range for this position is $135K - $189Kand will be determined by the candidate's location, qualifications, experience, and education. Final compensation packages are competitive and in line with industry standards, reflecting a variety of factors, and include a comprehensive benefits package. This may cover Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Retirement or Pension Plans, Paid Time Off (PTO), various Leave options, Performance-Based Incentives, employee stock purchase plan, and/or restricted stocks (RSU's), with all offerings subject to regional variations and governed by local laws, regulations, and company policies.
