Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Estimator to join our team. This position offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals, estimating costs for a variety of commercial glazing projects, including storefronts, curtain walls, and custom glass installations. As you grow in the role, there will be opportunities for advancement into senior-level estimator or project management positions.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Assist in preparing cost estimates for commercial glazing projects based on project plans and specifications.
- Review blueprints, specifications, and other project documents to determine material quantities and cost breakdowns.
- Work closely with senior estimators and project managers to ensure accurate and competitive pricing.
- Communicate with vendors to obtain pricing for glass, frames, hardware, and other materials.
- Prepare and present bid proposals to clients in a timely manner.
- Maintain project documentation, including bid proposals, revisions, and cost estimates.
- Learn to use industry-standard software (such as Bluebeam or Glazier Studio) for take-offs and estimating.
- Assist with project follow-up to ensure timely bid responses and client satisfaction.
**Qualifications:**
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (preferred but not required).
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and project specifications.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Eagerness to learn and grow in the commercial glazing industry.
