Special Operations Project Manager - Security Industry

Summary:

The Special Operations Project Manager (SOPM) is responsible for fostering and maintaining meaningful connections with internal associates and external partners to plan, organize and coordinate activity on a number of operational fronts; assisting with transitions, stepping in for an absent manager, providing immediate post incident recovery, training, disaster response, security surveys, as well as developing and overseeing action plans, and any other projects or processes as deemed necessary to ensure operational continuity. The SOPM is akin to a smoke jumper and will be required to travel for extended periods of time with little to no notice (travel estimated at 65-75%).

Responsibilities:

This list is neither inclusive nor exclusive, but indicative of several types of desired duties:
  • Develops key relationships with performance and regional managers to support activity with emphasis on Dedicated and Strategic Accounts (National Accounts).
  • Effectively lead, mentor and develop a team of security officers, ensuring engagement, schedule adherence, and team cohesiveness.
  • Will be available to travel as necessary for prolonged periods of time on short notice.
  • Will develop and administer Action Plans and keep management abreast of ongoing activity and any necessary remediation.
  • Develops operational initiatives to improve overall efficiency.
  • Will be proficient in all aspects of staffing, reporting, and systems.
  • Manage and maintain standards for overtime performance through effective scheduling and supporting Recruitment Strategies.
  • Develop security personnel by establishing training and objectives. Conduct regular evaluations to meet these objective.
  • Ensure Kronos clock(s) on site are operational at all times and help troubleshoot if needed
  • Register all officer's fingerprints and train them on how to use the clocks to clock in/out.
  • Provides weekly report on activity and make operational recommendations.
  • Assists with other projects as deemed necessary by management.

Special Operations Project Manager Requirements:
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience in security, law enforcement, or military environment.
  • 1-2 years of recruitment experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in law enforcement, criminal justice, or other related studies, or equivalent experience is preferred.
  • Scheduling experience preferred
  • Ability to travel 65-75% of the time with little to no notice
  • Flexibility to work evenings and/or weekends as necessary
  • Must be willing to participate in the company's pre-employment screening process and continuously meet any applicable State, County, and Municipal requirements
