We are seeking a hospitality focused and organized individual to join our team as General Manager. The General Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the restaurant operations, ensuring exceptional service, high-quality food, and a memorable dining experience for guests and patrons. This role includes managing staff, maintaining financial performance, and upholding the restaurant's standards and reputation.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES:
Oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring efficiency and adherence to company policies.
Ensure all health and safety regulations are strictly followed.
Maintain high standards of quality control, hygiene, and health and safety.
Recruit, train, and manage restaurant staff, including front-of-house and back-of-house teams.
Schedule and coordinate staff to ensure optimal coverage and service.
Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
Foster a positive and inclusive working environment.
Ensure exceptional guest service and address any issues or complaints promptly and professionally.
Develop and maintain relationships with regular guests and VIPs.
Oversee the reservation system to ensure a smooth guest experience.
Manage the restaurant's budget, including labor costs, inventory, and overheads.
Monitor and analyze financial performance, including sales, revenue, and expenses.
Implement cost control measures to maximize profitability.
Collaborate with the marketing team to plan and execute promotional events and activities.
KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
Proven experience as a General Manager in a fine dining restaurant.
Strong understanding of restaurant operations, including front-of-house and back-of-house management.
Excellent leadership and organizational skills.
Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
Proficiency in financial management and budgeting.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
Ability to work under pressure and resolve conflicts efficiently.
Passion for food and beverage, with a commitment to quality and excellence.
