POSITION PURPOSE:

We are seeking a hospitality focused and organized individual to join our team as General Manager. The General Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the restaurant operations, ensuring exceptional service, high-quality food, and a memorable dining experience for guests and patrons. This role includes managing staff, maintaining financial performance, and upholding the restaurant's standards and reputation.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES:
  • Oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring efficiency and adherence to company policies.
  • Ensure all health and safety regulations are strictly followed.
  • Maintain high standards of quality control, hygiene, and health and safety.
  • Recruit, train, and manage restaurant staff, including front-of-house and back-of-house teams.
  • Schedule and coordinate staff to ensure optimal coverage and service.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive working environment.
  • Ensure exceptional guest service and address any issues or complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with regular guests and VIPs.
  • Oversee the reservation system to ensure a smooth guest experience.
  • Manage the restaurant's budget, including labor costs, inventory, and overheads.
  • Monitor and analyze financial performance, including sales, revenue, and expenses.
  • Implement cost control measures to maximize profitability.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to plan and execute promotional events and activities.

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
  • Proven experience as a General Manager in a fine dining restaurant.
  • Strong understanding of restaurant operations, including front-of-house and back-of-house management.
  • Excellent leadership and organizational skills.
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in financial management and budgeting.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
  • Ability to work under pressure and resolve conflicts efficiently.
  • Passion for food and beverage, with a commitment to quality and excellence.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS OF THIS POSITION:
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Endurance to withstand long hours of standing, walking, and repetitive motions.
  • Lift and carry objects weighing up to 30 pounds.
  • Flexibility to bend, stoop, reach, and perform physical tasks.
  • Adherence to proper lifting techniques and ergonomics to prevent strain or injury while performing job duties.
  • Requires evening, weekend, and holiday availability.
