Job Description:

Proposal Development Specialist
As the Proposal Development Specialist, you will leverage your skills as an inside sales engineer or account manager to spearhead the bid and proposal tasks for client projects across the country. Responsible for all bid and tenders, proposal writing, contract reviews, and timely completion of all internal processes required to maintain each project. The key objectives of the role are to meet or exceed the established goals and objectives such as sales, order intake, margin level, market share, customer satisfaction and overall account development.

  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with customers at all levels of the customer organizations by maintaining regular contact.
  • Gather customer information to support sales activities; identify customer needs and requirements, understand customer organization & processes, budget planning at customer level, maintenance planning and identifying key decision makers for project execution.
  • Prepare bid/no bid, tender review and contract review documentation for all current projects/bids (overhauls, repairs, maintenance services, and modernizations)
  • Define bid strategy, perming bid management and coordination for tenders/bids.
  • Review cost calculations, develop business cases, etc.
  • Support management in providing forecasts for order intake, sales, overhaul and/or repair programs for assigned accounts and inputting updates on a monthly basis into company sales management tools.
  • Develop clause by clause, risk assessment and related documents for assigned projects and tenders.
  • Actively search and maintain each customer bid/proposal portal to locate new bid opportunities for the complete suite of Products and Services.
  • Drive the top line growth of region by managing and facilitating the customer relationship
  • Securing sales and order intake, developing business plans.
  • Collecting marketing intelligence and information.
  • Managing selected bids and tenders within the region.
  • Develop sales and business forecasts for the assigned region.
  • Prepare proposals and offers for selected accounts and in general oversee the business activities for the assigned region.
Requirements:
  • Bachelors or Associates Degree required
  • Minimum 5 years' experience with inside sales engineering, account management, bid/proposal writing
  • SAP, Windchill, CATS Time Recording or similar systems
  • Very strong writing skills

This position is offering a compensation range between $80k - $100k base salary + additional incentive bonus compensation. Full benefits (medical, 401k, PTO, etc) are provided. Relocation may be provided for qualified candidates. Position offers a hybrid work arrangement (3/2s).
