We're looking for a dedicated Director of Engineering to join our team, reporting directly to the CEO, and lead our engineering efforts as both a strategic leader and hands-on contributor.
Position Overview:
As the Director of Engineering, you will be responsible for building and managing a team of skilled engineers, driving the development of our platform, and scaling our technology to meet the needs of our growing customer base. This is a player/coach role, where you'll be expected to actively contribute to coding and architecture while also leading and mentoring your team. You'll play a crucial role in recruiting top talent, fostering a collaborative culture, and delivering innovative solutions to support our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, mentor, and grow a team of engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Actively participate in the development process, with expertise in JavaScript, TypeScript, and React.
Oversee the full development lifecycle, from planning and design to deployment and maintenance.
Work closely with the CEO and other stakeholders to align engineering goals with business objectives and drive product strategy.
Recruit, onboard, and develop new team members, ensuring the team is equipped to tackle current and future challenges.
Implement best practices for coding, testing, and deployment to ensure high-quality software delivery.
Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to ensure SyncTimes remains at the forefront of innovation.
Qualifications:
Proven experience growing and managing engineering teams, with a track record of successful project delivery in a B2B SaaS environment.
Proficient in JavaScript, TypeScript, and React, with hands-on experience building scalable, high-performance web applications.
Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to driving technology solutions.
