Role Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sitework Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience and expertise in all aspects of sitework engineering, including a strong background in hydraulics and hydrology. This role is crucial in ensuring that site development projects are designed and executed with precision, efficiency, and adherence to all relevant standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Site Design and Development: Lead and oversee the design and implementation of sitework projects, including grading, drainage, and utility systems. Ensure designs meet project requirements and regulatory standards.
  • Hydraulics and Hydrology: Apply advanced knowledge of hydraulics and hydrology to develop effective solutions for stormwater management, flood control, and water distribution. Conduct hydrological analyses and hydraulic modelling as needed.
  • Project Management: Manage sitework projects from concept through completion, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and coordination with other engineering disciplines and stakeholders.
  • Field Supervision: Oversee sitework construction activities, ensuring that work is performed according to specifications, safety standards, and project timelines. Provide guidance and support to on-site construction teams.
  • Technical Documentation: Prepare and review technical reports, design drawings, and construction documents. Ensure that all documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant with relevant codes and regulations.
  • Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve engineering challenges related to sitework, hydraulics, and hydrology. Develop innovative solutions to complex issues and optimize project outcomes.
  • Client and Stakeholder Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders. Communicate project progress, address concerns, and ensure stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement and monitor quality control procedures to maintain high standards of engineering work. Conduct site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety regulations.

Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in sitework engineering, with a strong focus on hydraulics and hydrology. Proven experience in managing complex site development projects.
  • Certifications: Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred. Relevant certifications in hydraulics and hydrology are advantageous.

Skills:
  • In-depth knowledge of sitework engineering principles, hydraulics, and hydrology.
  • Proficiency in engineering software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, HEC-RAS).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and lead projects effectively.

Additional Requirements:
  • Ability to travel to project sites as needed.
