A top Fortune 50 Financial client is seeking a Scrum Master to join their team in a dynamic environment. This role is pivotal in fostering agile practices and ensuring the team delivers on key initiatives.
About the Opportunity:
Hybrid or Remote: Hybrid to HQ in Vienna, VA.
Schedule: Monday to Friday
Hours: 8am to 4:30pm (EST core hours)
Setting: Collaborative team-oriented atmosphere.
Responsibilities:
The Scrum Master will be responsible for:
Facilitating Scrum ceremonies and ensuring adherence to Scrum practices
Removing impediments to progress and promoting continuous improvement within the team
Collaborating with the Product Owner to clarify and prioritize the product backlog
Engaging with stakeholders to align on project goals and deliverables
Mentoring junior staff on agile methodologies and best practices
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in a Scrum Master role or equivalent
Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
Proficiency in agile methodologies and frameworks
Strong understanding of software development and system administration
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on strategic planning
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Desired Skills:
Advanced Degree in a relevant field
Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or PMI-ACP certification
Experience in Project Management, particularly in Agile environments
Familiarity with cloud applications such as Azure and Data Bricks
