Job Description:

Job title-: Sr. System Testing Analyst

Duration-: 12 months

Location -: Columbia, SC (Hybrid - Tues, Wed, Thurs and other days)

C2 clearance is needed

Duties:
  • Provide service for multiple clients, including onsite service where needed. Make recommendations to clients on how to improve testing activities.
  • Track quality assurance metrics.
  • 45% Participate in the design phase of projects to ensure that new or modified functions are developed using correct testing methodology.
  • Arrange major activities between the client and IS staff to ensure maximum gain from technical resources.
  • 45% Complete supportive administrative and lead activities such as attending sessions with customers, planning and disbursing projects to team members, completing reports and developing processes.
  • 10% Perform testing duties which may involve reviewing test data, creating test cases, executing testing, and monitoring/documenting results. Mentor and provide guidance to testing staff.

Work Environment:

The position holds a critical role in the application development process; testing new or modified applications to make sure they will work in the client's operating environment. Fast paced, multi-platformed environment which may require action and response 24X7 to support the technical business needs of the customer.

  • Knowledge of DB2, SQL, Oracle, IMS, and VSAM.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Excellent project planning, organization, and management skills.
  • Thorough understanding of data processing terminology, operations, and architecture utilized in debugging application/environmental problems.
  • Thorough understanding of systems migration processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Skill in testing data creation and manipulation.
  • Ability to understand functional connections between applications. Ability to utilize test requirements, specifications, diagrams, logic functions, etc.
  • Provide service for multiple clients, including onsite service where needed. Make recommendations to clients on how to improve testing activities. Track quality assurance metrics.
  • Team oriented Effective communication Flexible (being able to adapt), and Detail orientated.

Required Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or other job related degree. or 4 years of job related work experience or 2 years of job related experience plus an associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or other job related degree.

Required Experience: 7 years of IT experience to include experience developing test plans and/or test matrices.
