Job Description:

Are you someone in the Clean Tech or Climate Tech space that is looking for the opportunity to spearhead the continuing success of a small but established startup in water treatment technology?

We have patented proprietary technology, and our mission is to provide the industry-leading solution for the mineralization of pollutants in water and wastewater.

We are looking for a new visionary CEO and Co-Founder to lead our team and take our company to the next level.

You will be responsible for providing strategic, financial, and operational leadership for the company. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of executive leadership, a deep understanding of the startup ecosystem, and a passion for driving innovation and growth.

Qualifications:

Requirements for this position includes the following:
  1. Commercialization of product and business in deep tech industry, Clean Tech experience highly preferred.
  2. Successful funding (We're seeking $5M Seed followed by $15M Series A)
  3. Deep experience in hiring, integration, and leadership of technical, sales, and administrative teams.

Your qualifications should also include:
  • Proven experience in other senior executive roles, ideally within a startup or high-growth environment.
  • Strong understanding of corporate finance and performance management principles.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or a related field: MBA or other advanced degree preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

You will have control of company direction, leadership, operations, and financials. In transitioning into your role, you will work with the two Current CoFounders- the current President/CEO and the CTO/SVP of Engineering. The CTO plans to stay on in her continuing role. Specifically, you will work in transition with the current CEO to the extent needed as you embrace the company's traction and associated business plans, advisor interactions, partner connections, and investor contacts- as you gain full company control.

  • Vision and Strategy: Develop and implement the company's vision, mission, and overall strategy in collaboration with the Board of Directors and the senior leadership team.
  • Leadership: Lead, mentor, and inspire the executive team and staff to achieve company goals and objectives. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Financial Management: Oversee the company's financial performance, investments, and other business ventures. Ensure the organization's financial health and sustainability.
  • Operations Management: Ensure effective and efficient business operations. Implement best practices in management and operational processes.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including investors, customers, partners, and the community. Act as the public face of the company.
  • Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities. Drive growth through strategic partnerships, market expansion, and product development.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks to the company's business and operational objectives. Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Performance Measurement: Establish performance metrics and monitor progress against goals. Report to the Board of Directors on the company's performance and strategic initiatives.

Compensation:

Compensation will be a combination of salary and equity. We are offering the successful candidate a Co-Founder role. You will be granted existing Founder's shares and additional shares which will be distributed from the Employee Stock Options Pool (ESOP) when agreed-upon milestones are achieved. Salary and shares increase with successful achievement of milestones.

As we are in the Seed Funding stage, the initial salary is set at $100,000 per annum with some flexibility. The salary increase could be rapid if funding is secured quickly. Equity will be vested over a 4-year period.

Milestones are listed below. Specific agreed-upon metrics will be developed.
  1. Raise Seed funding
  2. Secure first pilot/demonstration project from commercial customer

Achieve financial plan incorporating new technology platform
  1. Install recruitment plan and form leadership teams
