As a member of our Identity and Access Management (IAM) team, you will be responsible for setting a high standard of technical expertise and leadership in client-facing engagements. Our IAM Consultants play a key role in influencing the overall technical direction and work culture of the delivery teams, fostering a transparent and collaborative environment. You will provide expert guidance and solutions in identity management, acting as a trusted technical advisor to our clients. This role requires strong communication skills and expertise in a broad range of identity solutions, software platforms, architectural designs, and deployment infrastructures.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as a technical expert in IAM engagements, focusing on delivering identity-centric solutions
Drive a values-based, pragmatic team culture, embracing best technical practices and continuous learning
Collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders, demonstrating strong communication and technical expertise
Provide solutions across open- and closed-source identity systems, including Java ecosystem platforms and Microsoft Azure identity management
Engage in a variety of projects including strategic planning, operational improvements, technical training, and troubleshooting for clients
Ensure the successful completion of projects within higher education and similar sectors
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
5+ years of professional experience developing and supporting web-based applications, with a focus on identity solutions
Proven experience in customer-facing technical roles
Expertise in Identity and Access Management (IAM) architecture and protocols (SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect, CAS)
Hands-on experience with identity applications such as CAS, Grouper, Shibboleth, midPoint, and Azure AD, particularly in higher education settings
Familiarity with Java-based applications and software deployment best practices
Preferred Skills
Experience with enterprise architecture analysis, technology governance, and M&A technology evaluations
Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and other modern containerization platforms
Understanding of cryptographic protocols and experience with PKI, certificates, and encryption technologies
Experience with cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure) and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins
Experience in higher education or similar industry sectors
