We are seeking a versatile and experienced Network Administrator to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in network administration, coupled with a willingness to tackle a variety of technical challenges. This role will involve providing advanced technical support, maintaining existing network and system infrastructure, and managing VMware server environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Network Administration:Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure, including switches, routers, and firewalls.
Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues.
Configure and manage network protocols and security settings.
Technical Support:Provide advanced technical support to faculty, staff, and students.
Troubleshoot network and system problems.
Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software.
Server Management:Manage VMware server environments, including virtual machine creation, configuration, and maintenance.
Implement and maintain virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) solutions (preferred).
System Maintenance:Perform routine system maintenance tasks, including backups, updates, and patching.
Ensure system security and compliance with industry standards.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
