The Manufacturing Engineer plays a critical role in optimizing production processes, identifying inefficiencies, and implementing solutions that drive innovation and enhance operational performance. This position requires a proactive individual who can collaborate across departments to develop and refine production methods while focusing on continuous improvement and cost-effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze production workflows to identify opportunities for reducing waste and inefficiencies.
Conduct research and testing on new design concepts, utilizing lean manufacturing principles and root-cause analysis to support improvements and corrective actions.
Develop and test prototypes, monitor performance, and implement necessary modifications to optimize designs.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, production, and management to gather insights and ensure alignment on production goals.
Estimate production timelines and associated costs to aid management in decision-making processes.
Work with various departments to discuss manufacturing capabilities, schedules, and other factors affecting the production process.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
2-3 years of relevant experience in engineering, with a focus on production or manufacturing.
Strong knowledge and application of lean manufacturing techniques.
Practical experience in building and evaluating small-scale prototypes.
Excellent collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with program managers, manufacturing teams, and other stakeholders.
Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint for data analysis and presentations.
