About the Role:
As a Project Manager on the team, you will focus on the LIMS (Inventory & Location Management) rewrite from Cobol to Java. This will include facilitating workshops to gather requirements with business partners. Lead business analysts in defining those requirements into technical specifications, ensuring the combined in-house and offshore development team members complete development, coordinate testing internally and externally through our UAT phases and deliver the solutions into production.
In this role, you will also focus on driving better processes within the local team and the broader remanufacturing division around areas like project planning for strategy roadmaps, planning annual project spend, and providing status updates and report-outs to our various projects within our portfolio.
Responsibilities:
Lead workshops with business partners and internal IT team members.
Develop a project plan with WBS elements for all team members.
Facilitate use cases for requirements and testing.
Gather updates on action items.
Assemble project status reports to report to business and IT leaders.
Spend time in planning tools for project spend forecasting and updates.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with 5-7 years' experience of project management experience in handling projects of this organizational complexity and length of project.
PMP certification.
Required Skills:
Experience with MS Project planning or other planning tool(s).
Office 365 suite - Excel, PowerPoint, Word, TEAMs, Office experience.
Experience with development methodologies (ie. AGILE, waterfall).
Soft Skills Required:
Heavy attention to detail.
Organizationally focused.
Experience leading facilitation of diverse group (workshop).
Communication skills and adaptability of communication levels (working with Business partners and IT colleagues).
