The Materials Planning Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning and execution of material procurement and inventory management strategies to ensure optimal supply chain performance. This role will collaborate closely with production, purchasing, and logistics teams to optimize inventory levels, minimize stockouts, and reduce costs while meeting customer demand.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning: Align materials planning strategies with overall business objectives, ensuring that supply chain operations support the company's growth and profitability.
Inventory Optimization: Implement effective inventory management strategies to balance customer service levels, cost efficiency, and working capital optimization.
Demand Forecasting: Develop accurate demand forecasts for various products based on historical sales data, market trends, and customer projections.
Purchasing Planning: Coordinate with the purchasing department to develop and execute procurement plans that align with production schedules and demand forecasts.
Supplier Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and negotiate favorable terms.
Logistics Coordination: Collaborate with the logistics team to optimize transportation and warehousing operations to minimize costs and improve delivery efficiency.
Data Analysis: Analyze inventory data, production schedules, and supplier performance to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in materials planning or a similar role.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in inventory management software and ERP systems.
