Envision Technology, an innovative company and producing advanced electro-optical systems and Small Uncrewed Aircraft Systems (sUAS) for defense and law enforcement applications, seeks a motivated Senior FPGA Engineer. The Senior FPGA Engineer is responsible for architecture, development, implementation, debugging, and testing of imaging streams and image processing used sUAS systems, subsystems, and test platforms for defense applications.
Responsibilities:
Develop FPGA architecture which focuses on performance and SWaP optimization
Implement and/or utilize RF Modulation algorithms in FPGA fabric
Camera Image processing for streaming and RF transmission
Developing kernel accelerators based on software algorithms
Interacting with IP vendors and follow-on integration
SOC/SOM integration
Work with software and electrical engineers to architect, implement, and debug complex electronic and software designs
Develop test infrastructures, writing documentation and ensuring high performance
May work with customers, suppliers, and users of the devices
Qualifications:
BS/MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience, with 10+ years of experience architecting and implementing FPGA code for imaging systems
Verilog / VHDL
Experience with imaging protocols such as MIPI and SLVS
Camera Image Processing
Experience with Git / version control
Experience with AXI-Bus / AXI-Stream
Ability to read schematics
Ability to utilize lab test equipment (e.g. multimeters, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers)
RF Modulation experience is a plus
C/C++ embedded device programming experience is a plus
Hands-on experience with system integration and test

Brief travel within the US to customer locations may be required to support product testing or design reviews.
