Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Operations and Inventory Manager to oversee our company, manufacturing and inventory processes. This role is crucial to ensuring the smooth operation of our production line while maintaining optimal inventory levels to meet customer demands. Additionally, the manager will be responsible for the purchasing of all raw materials, components, outer packaging, and labels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operations:
  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee all manufacturing activities to ensure production targets are met.
  • Monitor production schedules and adjust as necessary to optimize workflow and efficiency.
  • Implement and maintain production best practices to enhance quality and minimize waste.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D and Marketing to ensure product quality and compliance with industry standards.

  • Inventory Management:
  • Manage inventory levels to ensure adequate stock availability while minimizing excess and obsolete inventory.
  • Develop and implement inventory control processes and systems.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits and reconciliations to maintain accurate records.
  • Analyze inventory data to forecast needs and support production planning.

  • Purchasing:
  • Source and purchase all raw materials, components, outer packaging, and labels, ensuring alignment with production schedules and quality standards.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers to negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules.
  • Schedule & manage all transportation of inventory & finished goods to and from warehouse facilities.
  • Monitor market trends to make informed purchasing decisions and optimize costs.

  • Team Leadership:
  • Supervise and train production staff, fostering a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement.
  • Evaluate team performance and provide feedback to ensure high levels of productivity and engagement.

  • Reporting and Analysis:
  • Prepare and present reports on production metrics, inventory levels, purchasing activities, and operational performance to senior management.
  • Identify trends and opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in operations and inventory management, preferably in the beauty or cosmetics industry.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and inventory control systems.
  • Experience with purchasing raw materials and components in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and ERP systems.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
