Vice President of Electrical - Commercial & Industrial - Milwaukee, WI
Gryphon Oakwood are currently seeking a Vice President of Electrical to lead the electrical division within a leading MEP contractor. This role will manages all functions including operations, sales, estimating and the overall development of the team. The ideal candidate must have strong experience managing multiple electrical projects that are $5M-10M in value.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership: You'll establish and implement strategic objectives, policies, and performance standards, fostering continuous improvement while ensuring alignment with the company's long-term vision.
Operational Excellence: Provide leadership and mentorship to operational divisions and individual leaders, driving operational excellence across the region.
Financial Acumen: Develop and manage annual business plans with regional operational budgets, ensuring they support our revenue and profitability goals. You'll also provide leadership and oversight of divisional financials, prioritizing positive financial performance and risk management.
Project Management Expertise: Maintain a comprehensive understanding of all regional projects, ensuring their successful completion.
Collaborative Spirit: Cultivate a "win-win" environment, fostering strong relationships with Division Managers, Project Executives, and Operations Managers. This collaborative approach will drive successful and profitable operations, alongside exceptional customer satisfaction.
Growth and Innovation: Champion business development efforts and identify opportunities for new processes, emerging technologies, and streamlined systems to enhance overall effectiveness.
Strategic Partnership: Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and achieve company goals, offering your operational expertise and guidance. Strengthen relationships with industry peers and represent Rosendin both internally and externally.
Data-Driven Decision Making: Review and approve all P&L activities. Regularly present performance updates and key metrics to the CEO and executive leadership team.
Qualifications:
Degree: A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field is required (or equivalent experience).
Work Experience: A minimum of 15 years of relevant work experience is necessary, with at least 10 years in a senior leadership role within a large-scale national construction or construction management organization.
Industry Expertise: An advanced understanding of all aspects of construction is required.
Proven Leadership: Demonstrate a successful track record of leading complex business operations and high-performing teams exceeding 100 direct and indirect reports.
Strategic Decision Making: Possess exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills to navigate complex challenges and make effective decisions.
Organizational Acumen: Exhibit strong organizational, prioritization, and time management skills to manage a demanding workload.
Collaborative Influence: Exemplify a balance of strong leadership and interpersonal skills. Effectively build relationships, influence stakeholders, and foster a collaborative environment at all levels.
Communication & Relationship Building: Relate well with individuals across the organization, fostering trust and rapport. Effectively manage conflict and navigate challenging situations.
Change Management: Demonstrate the ability to drive change initiatives, gain buy-in, and lead teams through resistance.
