Job Position: AV Technical Support & Design Specialist
Reports To: AV Technical Solutions Team Lead
The AV Technical Support & Design Specialist delivers outstanding advanced technical and product support, designs and system integrations, conducts product demonstrations and training sessions/videos. This position demands a solid grasp of AV system integration, configuration, and troubleshooting, along with a robust knowledge of computer networking as it relates to the AV industry.
Responsibilities: • Provide onsite and remote technical support for product installation, configuration, monitoring and troubleshooting to end-user customers, consultants and channel partners • Design, implement and maintain signal flow pathways within complex systems • Evaluate and recommend LAN/WAN network specifications for network-enabled products • Lead project components independently while being an integral part of the technical service team • Develop product training material including manuals, guides, and demonstrations • Conduct product demonstrations at trade shows, regional events and installations • Utilize CRM to document daily interactions with customers, consultants, and specifiers • Create and update technical documentation, parts lists, and specifications to architects and consultants for bids • Create MasterFormat Specifications, design examples, white papers and product documentation • Follow up testing and evaluation to uphold quality standards in design, installation and system performance • Design induction loop systems that meet the required specifications for hearing assistance
Required Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Audio Engineering or equivalent 5+ years AV industry experience • Strong understanding of signal flow principles in AV industry • Dante, CTS/CTS-D Certification or similar preferred • Travel nationally and internationally approximately 4 times annually • Video production/audio engineering preferred • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 Suite
Physical Requirement
This position requires mobility and the ability to travel domestically and/or internationally on a periodic basis. Strong verbal, written, hearing, and visual skills are necessary for comprehensive communication in training and sales related presentations. This position requires bending, kneeling, stooping and may require lifting up to 50 lbs.
