As they continue to grow, they are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Senior Cost Estimator to join their team and provide mentoring and direction to Jr Level Staff.
About the Role:
We are seeking a Senior Cost Estimator with a minimum of 10 years of experience to join our client's team in Philadelphia, PA. This role requires a strong background in take-offs, costing, and labor and pricing analysis, based on drawings and documentation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing budgets, estimating costs for materials, labor, and equipment, and providing detailed cost assessments for large civil, mechanical, transportation, and rail projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform quantity take-offs and prepare detailed cost estimates for various project types.
Analyze project documents, including drawings and specifications, to provide accurate cost estimates.
Estimate the cost of materials, labor, equipment, and other resources.
Interact with local vendors, contractors, construction personnel, architects, and engineers to gather necessary information.
Use Microsoft Excel and Bluebeam Revu (preferred) to manage and organize project estimates.
Prepare and present cost reports to project teams and clients.
Participate in project meetings, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate estimates and project alignment.
Manage multiple estimates simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and accuracy.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum 10 years of cost estimating experience, with a focus on civil, mechanical, transportation, or rail projects.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in reviewing and interpreting project documentation.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Clear, concise communication and the ability to work with diverse project teams.
Ability to manage relationships with vendors and contractors effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Bluebeam Revu.
Familiarity with local Philadelphia vendors and construction industry standards.
