Position Overview The Plant Manager will oversee all aspects of plant operations, ensuring efficient production processes and adherence to safety and quality standards. This role is pivotal in driving continuous improvement initiatives and managing resources to meet production goals.
Key Responsibilities
Manage daily operations of the plant to ensure efficient manufacturing processes.
Implement Lean Manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies to enhance productivity.
Develop and oversee production schedules to meet customer demands while optimizing resources.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and foster a culture of safety within the team.
Lead, mentor, and develop plant staff to achieve operational excellence and high performance.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including Kaizen events, to streamline processes and reduce waste.
Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess operational effectiveness.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment with company objectives and goals.
Qualifications
Proven experience in plant management or a similar leadership role in a manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma practices.
Experience with The Toyota Production System (TPS) and assembly processes.
Demonstrated expertise in safety management and compliance.
Familiarity with plastics manufacturing processes is preferred.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
