Key Responsibilities:
Ensure the safety and quality of products manufactured at facility
Develop and implement food safety and quality management systems
Review, revise, and monitor Food Safety Plans/HACCP, SSOP, GMP, and other programs
Oversee and maintain the SQF Safe Quality Foods program as an SQF Practitioner
Lead certification audits to achieve successful outcomes
Collaborate with the manufacturing team to understand critical processes and controls
Track, report, and drive improvements in Food Safety and Quality KPIs
Lead root cause analysis, corrective actions, and consumer complaint resolution
Support product and process changes to ensure food safety and quality
Drive a strong food safety culture and lead food safety/quality training
Supervise employees directly/indirectly to maintain high standards
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Biology, Microbiology, Chemistry, or related field
7 to 10+ years of experience in a Quality Assurance leadership role
Strong knowledge of food safety, hazard analysis, and preventive controls
Experience with pest control, sanitation, and microbiological/analytical methods
Familiarity with FDA, USDA, and applicable regulations
SQF Practitioner, HACCP, and PCQI certifications required
Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Continuous improvement mindset with excellent communication abilities
