Provide technical support to internal and external customers as it relates to Escapes, Quality Management System Procedures, Regulations and Compliance.
Ensure manufacturing processes adhere to quality standards & customer requirements.
Provide timely disposition, correction, and closure of nonconforming material as Preliminary Reviewer (PR) member.
Lead Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) for quality issues.
Plan and review First Article Inspection (FAI).
Lead or participate in internal and external quality system and/or process audits.
Lead or participate in Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) activities.
Engage with Engineering, and Operations in Process Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (PFMEA), Process Flow Diagrams, Control Plans reviews to identify potential product and process risks and mitigation actions.
Work Experience
Basic Qualifications:
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years prior experience
OR Advanced Degree in a related field
OR In absence of a degree, 5 years of relevant experience is required
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under the programs/contracts at this site
Must have computer skills and be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Experience with a Continuous Improvement System i.e. Lean, ACE, Six Sigma, etc.
Experience in a Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Design Engineering role in operations and/or inspection (i.e. creating inspection methods, reviewing manufacturing plans, design for manufacturability activities)
Ability to lift 50 lbs
Ability to work in an office and shop floor environment
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in a Manufacturing environment
Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, including GD&T
