As a simulation & development engineer in RFK's setup development group, you will work within a group of 5-7 engineers tasked with weekly pre-event modeling & development, as well as simulation tool development. The role requires a sound grasp on vehicle dynamics, simulation, & programming. This work includes, but is not limited to, assignments in following areas:
Vehicle & lap simulation maintenance and development
Simulation result validation
Development of new techniques for processing and consuming simulation results
Development of improved methods for analyzing available data, including tire data, track test data, & rig test data (8-Post, K-Rig)
This position is onsite, located at our headquarters in Concord, NC with a typical work schedule from Monday through Friday, including limited domestic travel.
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or a related field
Minimum of 2 years of relevant motorsport or industry experience
Programming experience with one or more of the following languages: C, C#, VB.Net, MATLAB, Python.
