Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum 5 years of industrial equipment installation and maintenance experience with an engineering degree, or 15+ years of direct industrial equipment installation and maintenance management experience.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
Skills:
Strong interpersonal communication and organizational skills.
Analytical and problem-solving skills with a self-starter attitude.
Proven project completion experience.
AutoCAD experience or the ability to learn the software.
Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and OEM manuals.
Flexibility and adaptability to changing requirements.
Willingness to travel internationally up to 25% of the time.
Responsibilities:
Summary: The Commission & Field Service Specialist III is responsible for the installation, commissioning, and start-up of SCR projects. This role requires extensive knowledge of copper and aluminum rod mills and provides installation guidance and support to customers.
Supervise the customer installation of SCR systems independently.
Install, configure, commission, and troubleshoot subsystems such as pumps, motors, and valves.
Identify process and equipment improvement opportunities and solve complex problems.
Manage SCR service programs, including periodic audits and PM programs for end users.
Develop and maintain PM documents for SCR equipment sold to end users.
Perform customer training on system features and general maintenance.
Act as a technical resource for customers and new employees.
Produce daily progress reports during startups and field service visits.
Prepare reports, analyze data, and recommend operational improvements.
Document customer visits, process audits, and troubleshooting approaches.
International travel up to 25%, potentially several weeks at a time.
