Job Scope: Maintaining project reporting, monitoring project progress, status reporting, tracking and controlling project spending, and managing and executing CAPEX/OPEX projects.
Primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Scheduling, organizing, leading, and documenting required project meetings and reviews.
Develop and prepare project scope packages including preliminary designs, schedules, cost estimates, and appropriation funding requests.
Develop project execution plans.
Review and approve engineering design packages and ensure process safety recommendations are incorporated into final designs.
Prepare requests for proposal (RFP) scope packages and schedule pre-bid meetings with Procurement. Perform technical review of bids.
Manage construction scheduling, contracts, activities, and work execution.
Develop, partnerships with project team members to successfully execute projects from initial scoping and funding to detailed engineering, procurement, startup and commissioning, and project closure.
Ensure that Operations and Production achieve a successful project startup, and that project-related action items are completed.

Ideal Background
Education: Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical or Civil Engineering from an accredited university is preferred. Certification: Professional Engineering and/or Project Management Professional (PMP) registration is highly preferred.
Experience: This position requires 7+ years of relevant experience managing and executing CAPEX/OPEX projects
Good working knowledge of P&IDs/symbiology and understanding of civil, structural, and mechanical design drawings.
Experienced knowledge of detailed standard design and construction industry best practices.
Listening, writing and verbal communication skills along with the ability to work well with other project team members and contractors is essential.
Ability to apply and demonstrate good leadership, organizational, problem-solving, multi-tasking, and decision-making skills.
General computer skills are required. AutoCAD experience is recommended.
